Morok (chili) ?? Achar is a traditional Manipuri chilli pickle. It is commonly made with regular green chillies.
This pickle is very easy to make. It can be made instantly as most of the ingredients are always available in the kitchen.
The use of yellow mustard powder, fenugreek powder, mustard oil and lemon juice make this pickle an aromatic amalgamation of flavours and fragrances.
The Morok Achar makes a mouthwatering combination but for the first time to taste in life, you will hate it but not for bad taste. When you taste for every time, it will hit your nostrils for a few seconds and make your eyes flooded with tears and it is the taste people want. Most adult in Manipur want it and it is compulsory for most of the grand feast in the state.
