Prawns stir-fried represents a very nutritious and healthy side dish that can be prepared and presented very fast in a matter of minutes. In manipuri cuisine, shrimps are savoured in the form of fritters, stir-fried, in salads, in curries and in kangsoi (stew). Khajing literally translates to prawns and kangou to stir- fried in manipuri. This recipe is synonymous to a healthy pack as the ingredients used are mainly prawns, nakuppi (Chinese chives) and nungsidak (mint) all of which are well known for their nutritional and medicinal values.
